Jesper Sørensen’s ”The Sound of Industry”, a new song from an old acquaintance. Upon my first listening I was immediately struck by its sonic depth and an odd sense that it was somehow simultaneously mechanical yet undeniably human. You could let it play in the background if you chose or you could immerse yourself in its depths; the song invites you to duck your head under and swim but will allow you to stand in the shallows or watch from the shore, like a patient friend, undemanding.
